Roe Vs Wade

It has been 40 years since the United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) made it legal to obtain an abortion, which for the rest of this obviously slanted post we will call baby murder.  Because that is what it is, murder.

I am not sure where I will go with this, and I am sure I will echo somethings that have been already said, but lets start from the beginning shall we?

So back in 1969 Jane Roe (real name Norma McCorvey) was pregnant, unemployed and living in Texas which did allowed murder in the case of rape or incest.  After her friends advised her to say she was raped, it did not work because there was no police report.   Roe then sought an “illegal” baby murder, which failed because the police apparently shut it down.  She then went to the legal system (in which time she gave birth).  Her lawyers managed to take it all the way to the SCOTUS which ruled in favor of Roe, and just like that murdering babies became legal.  Oddly enough the SCOTUS did not make it legal to  murder adults.

Nowadays Jane Roe is a converted Catholic (or depending on the source a Born Again Believer), who completely regrets the entire thing and has now dedicated a great deal of her time to fight against the murder of innocent children.

Now you know my take on the background (if you want it to be more objective go look it up on your own time) of Roe vs. Wade, where are we now?

Well depending on the source upwards of 30-50 million baby murders have occurred and we have the President of the United State praising the Roe Vs Wade decision and then ad’s like this *(watch it).

We had a word for this in World War II when 8 million plus Jews were killed by the Nazis.  Holocaust.  I think the word might fit here too.

(Pause to calm down)….

So what do we do about it?  We pray for one.  We pray that people will wake up to the lies that have been spread that life does not begin at conception.

Life does begin at conception, because God said so.

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all

Ecclesiastes 11:5

(Pause to calm down)….

Let’s tackle the arguments for baby murder.

  • Its a woman’s right to choose.  Sure it is, as much as it is any given human’s being to choice to murder anyone in cold blood.  That is your right to choose.  The difference is one has consequences (murder), and the other is praised by idiots (baby murder).
  • In some environments it would be hard for bring another kid into the picture.  Oh notice now we call it what it is?  Apparently no one has heard of adoption.  Sadly adoption takes to long and is cluttered with red tape, if anything we should make it easy to adopt.
  • Its not a baby, its a blob of cells, or a result of pregnancy   The most pathetic logic I have ever heard.  Playing word games and discounting what something in nature really is, is hiding from the truth.  Playing word games to make something that they know what it is sound less offensive.
  • If we get rid of safe legal baby murders, then there will be people with coat hangers performing back alley baby murders.  Whats the difference?  I think someone who is going to murder their own baby deserves what they get.

Well I am done now.  I think it is pretty clear I am pretty flustered about this and very much pro-life.  I was just so disgusted at watching Obama praise the murder of 40 million Americans that I had to take my frustrations out on the keyboard.

2013, year of the ?

As we start 2013 there are a lot of question marks in our household.  They are not bad necessarily  more or like where do we go from here.  For instance; after our downstairs bathroom is done, what project do we take on next?  The upstairs bathroom? The rest of the basement? The kitchen?

Probably the biggest question mark of all is what should Tress and I do for our ten year anniversary.  It is hard to believe that it will be ten years come June, but looking back it has also been ten years since we both finished college.  Yikes.  Anyway to answer the question at hand, we have kinda discussed it and we are both at a loss as we both have places we want to go but there are pros/cons for each.  Example, I would like to drive the Pacific coast line for the scenery.  The major con to that would be Tress has a tendency to sleep on car rides, basically negating the entire trip.

At any rate we have a lot of items to find answers too, but luckily we have some of the most important answers already!  Such as, where we will spend eternity.

One thing Tress and I are going to try to do is what we did when we were first married up until I took a night job.  Read the Bible together before we fall asleep.  We have gotten away from this and I kind of miss it.  I don’t want to point fingers, but both of us struggle to find time to read God’s word.  I have cheated and used my phone and let it read a chapter or a passage at a time while I have driven but I feel that quite a bit gets lost in the translation.

A final thing that I am going to try to do, is build a public task list of things I need to accomplish this year.  Some of them are silly small things, others major changes but I think I will have a better shot of accomplishing them if I make them public.

One of those, to write more on my site 🙂  Made a post today (1/1/2013) lets see how long that keeps on going.  I know I have a few thoughts on football so there should be a post tomorrow regarding that.

The Anti-Christ

Recently I received an email that read;
According to The Book of Revelations:

The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, he will destroy everything.

And Now:
For the award winning Act of Stupidity Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the most Powerful position on the face of the Planet — The Presidency of the United states of America.. A Male of Muslim descent who is the most extremely liberal Senator in Congress (in other words an extremist) and in his 40’s.

Have the American People completely lost their Minds, or just their Power of Reason???

I’m sorry but I refuse to take a chance on the ‘unknown’ candidate Obama…

The truth is that the Anti-Christ will not come to power until fulfillment of I Thessalonians 4:16, which obviously has not happened as I am posting this blog. While I certainly do not agree with him (Obama) on just about anything I don’t think it is fair to label him the “Anti-Christ,” I AM ok with labeling him as Liberal Extremist who is friendly to terrorist domestic and abroad. I am not saying Obama is or isn’t (the Anti-Christ could be living now), I am just saying that it does not fit God’s time table thus far…

Furthermore, I don’t know where in Revelation it actually uses the term “Anti-Christ” let alone uses the comparisons this email has made. Maybe the reason I don’t know where it is at is because it does not exist in Revelation or anywhere in the Bible for that matter.

And if you disagree, I am ok with that even though I am a bitter American clinging to my guns and faith with antipathy towards those who are different than me.

A Civil Liberties Union that shocked me

Normally when I think of any state civil liberties union or the ACLU, the first thing that I think of is anti-God and liberalisim working to destroy America. However when I read this acticle I was shocked, just shocked that they (NYCLU and ACLU) went to defend and stand up for a person of two things they do not agree with, a military officer and a Christian.

All I can say is hopefully this trend continues.

Newsflash! (and other important points)

It’s high time everyone knew, Tress and I are expecting our first child! Both of us are overjoyed and looking forward to fulfilling the Godly purpose of marriage. As we just found out for sure yesterday, we anticipate that the due date is sometime late December to mid-January (here’s to hope for a new year’s baby!).

More details to come.

In other news:

I am glad that Tyler has chosen to have us (his family) in his life again, while there is still some issues to be ironed out I think it will be good in the long run… I hope.

Its less than one year until the Iowa Caucus, I am quite certain this could be the presidential race in which I abstain from voting. I have not been impressed with any of the candidates on either side. I was looking in to Barack Hussein Obama as I had heard him on a talk show and was intrigued by his ideas, but his recent support for items that are immoral turned me off. I am still looking into John Cox and others. I was right on the Vilsack thing though…

I am still baffled at the cut and run strategy from the Democrats. However I would be completely for it if it included us pulling all of our troops home from “hostile” regions and kept us out of world affairs. So that means, no more international support for disasters, and no more peace keeping missions. Let those third world countries solve their own problems by their own hands. That sounded pretty Liberal up until the word “hostile.”

We had some help from God to get our basement finished, as we had an average of 4 and a half inches of water (clean and sewer) in our basement this last week. Thankfully we were insured and have received a nice check which will help with the project and our soon to be born child.

Gas has gone up as it normally has, I am contemplating another car (at the time of this writing I think may have my Impala sold) that would get as good or better gas mileage but it needs to be reliable, cheap, and efficient. The perfect recipe for a State Auction trip on May 19th!

And for the last time, you cannot call yourself a Christian and vote for people who do not view homosexuality as immoral, and support partial birth abortions. Sorry folks this is not what scripture states. I am not suggesting we stone these types of people, I am saying we should not be voting for them, which I haven’t been.

Fashionably Late

As with all my articles I am usually a few days behind when I really wish to publish them. So this one will contain a few positives and a few negatives, I am really going to have to look at creating a separate negative blog so this one can be more positive…

Monday Night Football
I was nothing less than pleased when I saw how my Bengals did, even more so when I saw that Carson played an excellent game. This should make for a very interesting season, I would almost go to say that Carson will be higher rated than anyone else in the league. Along with that I am predicting (I should not do this) another playoff appearance with the possibility of even a second round playoff game. At any rate I am still exited to be a Bengals fan for the past 13 years.

Taylor’s Maid-^Rite
Taylor’s Maid-Rite in Marshalltown is now offering ketchup. How sad to break a 78 year old tradition because of a few people who are scared to enjoy something with out disgusting revolting ketchup. Well add Taylor’s Maid-Rite to my boycott list. Its not even because I don’t like ketchup, it is because you don’t break a tradition. If for instance it was salt and not ketchup I would still stand firm. They might as well move to their restaurant to the south side as well. Good Riddance Taylor’s, it was nice while it lasted, but I’m done.

Windows Vista
While I was planning on doing a full review, I got fed up and put XP back on my laptop. I can say this, I did not like the security features. But to Microsoft’s credit, they are trying to “moron” proof their OS. Good for them, but I think I’ll stick with XP for a while.

Pluto is a Planet!
Regardless of what was voted Pluto is still a planet. How are you going to re-educate the masses to inform them that there are now eight planets. I was perfectly happy knowing that their was nine planets. But now I am not happy. Of course if I was a doomsday prophet I could say that God is destroying his works, starting with Pluto and working his way in. Naturally I know that is not the case but am still mad anyway.

Grandma’s Note

Over the fourth we went boating. When we returned home and others were busy doing other things  I picked up my mom’s mothers bible which happened to be sitting there. Apparently it was a KJV Giant Print edition from Hyles-Anderson Baptist College. As I was thumbing through reading a verse here and there, my mom told me to look at Grandma’s note. Once I found it, I read it and was rewarded.

Rewarded in the sense that my faith was reassured, and I was happy to be reassured that my Grandmother is in heaven now. The note read:

To you:

You are precious to me
Isiah 43:4

I love you and I always will
John 3:16, Jer 31:3

I think about you all the time
Psalms 139:2,17

I will always be near you and hear you when you call
Psalm 145:18

You bring great joy to my life
Psalm 149:4

You belong to me!
Isaish 43:1

Science Fumbles Again

Another scientist has expressed his lack of faith. Doron Nof (also wrote articles regarding the parting of the Red-Sea and the Flood), a professor of oceanography at Florida State University is trying to use science to prove that our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ walked on ice and not water.

Nof’s article (

The articles theory states that rare atmospheric condition with an odd mixture of water may have caused a thin layer of ice, which might explain how the Lord did such a magnificent feat. Similarly the article is tied in with global warming.

What Nof failed to put in to his report is scripture. He went to great lengths with graphs, calculations and charts but no scripture. Now I am not saying that he is an atheist but I am saying that he should not try to explain something that is not meant to be explained, hence the idea that it is a “miracle.”

Matthew 14:22-32 (also Mark 6:45-56, John 6:15-21) clearly states that the ship that the disciples were in was being tossed with the waves for the wind was contrary (verse 24). Mark and John do not reference Peter walking on water as Matthew does in verse 29; however we are lead to believe from God’s word that there was a storm going on, partly to illustrate Peter’s faith.

Now it does not take a genius to figure out if waves are tossing a ship around with wind here and there, that there is no way that the water could have been frozen. Sure it could have been slushy, or even have chunks of ice floating here and there, but if that was the case, then the ship most certainly would have sustained heavy damage.

I am also not saying that Nof could be wrong, Jesus very well could have put ice where he was standing, but the Bible does not tell us this. The greater lesson is that we should trust God and his word and not question how this happened. The perfect example of this is Peter. As he is walking to the Lord he notices that there is a storm going on and he becomes afraid, causing him to sink.

What it boils down to is that all of the miracles in the Bible are just that, “miracles.” They don’t need scientific explanation; they just need to be interpreted as God’s awesome power.

Up the Next Hill

Well it has been a while, and for good reasons. Some big projects at work have preoccupied a good share of my time. The good news is that they are mostly complete. Sad news is three new big projects are moving in, goody!

It is such a pleasure and joy to head to work early, not necessarily because of work (which I do enjoy), but because of the two minute walk to my car that I can bask in the greatness of God’s work. Birds are singing, the smell of spring is in the air, trees are budding, and God is putting on a great artwork show with the sunrise. There is nothing better to start a day in my humble opinion.

There is one other that is basking in the joy of spring, Gary. He has been convicted to watch the Robins that are close up to the window, letting his “Bengal” senses take him over. He loves to watch the birdies.

I have been committed to the Rose Festival again. Not that I did not want to be committed, it’s just the problem of prepping and planning. When it is all done and said, I will always be back at that place, where I feel satisfaction from doing good work.

I broke down and went to the dentist with Tress, for the first time in a long time. The last time was prior to our wedding, in which I walked away with sore gums which later turned in to a massive infection including swollen gums (up to the crowns), cancer sores, and all other un-pleasurable experiences. Needless to say this was the reason that I had not been back. While there they did a much better job than my previous dentist, but unfortunately it turns out I have my first cavity. I am going to have them review my x-ray because where the dentist showed me the cavity was, looked as normal as the next tooth. But then again, I did not go to dental school…

We Reap what we Sow

This came to me from email and I thought I should post it as can strongly agree with many points made here.

Billy Graham’s daughter, Anne Graham was recently interviewed on the Early Show and Jane
Clayson asked her “How could God let something like this Happen?” (regarding Katrina).

She said, “I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but
for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out
of our government and to get out of our lives.

And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How
can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we
demand He leave us alone?”

The email went on with more comments that really drive the point home…

Spelling and gramatical errors in original form

In light of recent events…terrorists attacks, school shootings, etc.
I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her
body found recently) complained she didn’t want prayer in our schools,
and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible
says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor
as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children when they
misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we
might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock’s son committed suicide). We
said an expert should know what he’s talking about. And we said OK.

Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why
they don’t know right from wrong, and why it doesn’t bother them to
kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it
out. I think it has a great deal to do with “WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.”

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the
world’s going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say,
but question what the Bible says

Wow, could not be better said…
